- The number of criminal incidents recorded by Victoria Police in the year to 31 December 2018 was 386,938. This is up 2.0% from 379,491 incidents recorded in the same period last year.
- The number of offences recorded by Victoria Police in the year to 31 December 2018 was 512,594. This is an increase of 1.7% from 504,092 offences recorded in the same period last year.
- Alleged offender incidents increased 4.5% to 176,459 in the year to December 2018, up from 168,911.
- Victim reports increased in the year to 31 December 2018 by 0.7% (1,993) to 300,952 victim reports.
- Family incidents increased in the year to 31 December 2018, up 5.7% from 75,055 to 79,348.

- Mildura (10,030.8 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 14.9%)
- Greater Shepparton (9,360.7 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 3.3%)
