- The number of criminal incidents recorded by Victoria Police in the year to 30 September 2021 was 357,847, down 13.2% from 412,202 incidents recorded in the same period last year.
- The number of offences recorded by Victoria Police in the year 30 September 2021 was 496,260. This is down 10.0% from 551,388 offences recorded in the same period last year.
- Alleged offender incidents decreased 10.5% to 173,478 in the year to 30 September 2021, down from 193,904.
- Victim reports decreased in the year to 30 September 2021, down 9.3% (27,338) to 267,850 victim reports.
- Family incidents increased in the year to 30 September 2021, up 2.8% from 90,051 to 92,552.
- Alleged offender incidents with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status decreased 5.8% to 13,519 in the year to 30 September 2021.
- In the year to 30 September 2021 the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status of those involved in Family incident increased for Affected family members (up 8.6% to 4,894) while Other parties increased (up 7.5% to 6,052).

- Yarra (9,677.5 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, down 12.5%)
- Ararat (9,466.6 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 13.5%)
- Swan Hill (8,880.7 incidents per 100,000 estimated resident population, down 0.7%).

- Melbourne (20,868.0 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 5.9%)
- Ararat (16,527.4 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 44.7%)
- Latrobe (15,881.8 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, down 11.4%)
- Greater Shepparton (13,712.8 offences per 100,000 estimated resident population, up 2.1%)
